UNCW Invests in “Stimulating” Technology

The worst part about censorship is that there are college professors who are too stupid to know what it actually means, or worse, that sometimes pretend to be too stupid to know what it actually means. Censorship occurs when the government stops objectionable speech from being disseminated. It does not occur when the government refuses to actually subsidize speech that may be deemed objectionable. But sometimes professors and low-level college administrators pretend that refusal to fund government speech is censorship. They usually do this when the speech is so bad that no one else would ever subsidize it. So they adopt a false definition of censorship and pretend to believe it in an effort to attack those who would understandably oppose government support of bad speech.

A case in point is the UNCW LGBTQIA Office. They recently sponsored a showing of the film “The Passion and the Power: The Technology of the Orgasm.” You can see the trailer here. It is obviously a very serious intellectual undertaking. I’m just kidding. It is actually a profoundly idiotic documentary focusing on the history of the vibrator.

The showing of a film at UNCW documenting the history of the orgasm was not nearly as bad as it gets on a college campus. In 2005, a feminist group at UNC-Chapel Hill sponsored an orgasm awareness week and built a vibrator museum in the middle of the quad. The museum was filled with vibrators, including a wooden one from the 1920s. It may have been protected free speech. But it wasn’t exactly the peak of the intellectual season.

In reality, there is actually something less objectionable about the UNC-Chapel Hill museum in comparison with the UNCW LGBTQIA film. The former activity was financed with mandatory student activity fees, which must be distributed in a viewpoint neutral fashion. The latter was a sponsored activity on behalf of a government office that should not even exist, especially in a time of deep state budget deficit.

I understand that universities must invest in technology if they want to prepare future generations to lead a nation in a complex and competitive global market. But the kind of technology we need to invest in is scientific technology. We don’t need to invest in orgasm technology. If an administrator wants to show films about vibrators to students (which are then followed by discussions with the students about the topic of their orgasms) she needs psychotherapy. She does not need her own LGBTQIA Office.

(Note: The official UNCW LGBTQIA Office flier reads “We will be showing the film, ‘The Passion and the Power: The Technology of the Orgasm,’ followed by a group discussion on the topic.” I’m not making this up).

Taxpayers have to pay for the physical space that is the UNCW LGBTQIA Office. And we are desperately short of physical space here at UNCW. We even have special committees designed to address the issue of our lack of physical space. Yet no one seems to question the decision to pay lesbian administrators to show orgasm films and lead discussions with students about their orgasms on university property in the confines of their own government funded office. No one except me apparently.

This all demonstrates a gross failure on behalf of Chancellor Gary Miller. His administration shut down the LGBTQIA Office and merged it with the Women’s Center last year after I wrote a column proposing the merger. Then, the gay activists flipped out like a bunch of terrorists at a U.S. Embassy. So Miller’s administration wimped out and re-opened the LGBTQIA Office.

Now that they have re-opened, the LGBTQIA Office has started circulating fliers that not only promote their events but also decry censorship. Their latest says “The worst thing about censorship is ___.”

I think it is time to fill in the blank by writing Chancellor Gary Miller at chancellor@uncw.edu. Tell him the following: “The worst thing about censorship is when it is used as a weapon against the over-burdened taxpayers.” Put simply, it is the climax of intellectual dishonesty.

Team Obama, MoveOn, and militant leftists in “training” for mob protests at personal homes?

Using the same radical, militant tactics that radical far-left and full-on socialist zealots such as ACORN used in the 1990s and 2000s to force banks to give sub-prime mortgage loans and other loans to people who had no business borrowing money, the far-left group MoveOn.org is now advocating more of it  –  but under a new, shall we say “borrowed” name. They actually seem to be trying to hijack the most radical and militant elements of the “Occupy” movement and their “99%” rhetoric, in additional to the revolutionary rhetoric of the “Arab Spring” to do it. They’ve dubbed their latest sortie “The 99% Spring” offensive, in which they promise to train militants to “confront the 1%.”

Here’s a snippet from an email dispatch from MoveOn.org this week, in which they boast of attacking the personal family home of one bank executive, after one of their apparently militant “training” camp exercises (or as their email puts it, “nonviolent direct action trainings”, snarf). See if this sounds like America to you:

MoveOn with personal attack boast

But upon further investigation, it actually seems to be a part of a broader hijacking of the leftist “Occupy” movement (or at least radical extremists within that movement), by a cabal inspired by, if not led by, Barack Obama and his campaign, the Democratic Party, and leftist community organizing groups, including the infamous Iowa CCI, a militant left-wing “community organizing” group which even the Democratic Party has disavowed in the past. In a story at alJazeerea.com, they report that “Occupy” organizers are upset that the hijacking may be rooted not just at MoveOn.org, but right in the Barack Obama and Democratic Party re-election campaign.

alJazeera.com, April 18, 2012

Is the Occupy movement being hijacked?

[...] But now a rival group has emerged – called the 99% Spring – which says it wants to train protesters for a campaign of peaceful protest.

Critics have denounced the group as a Democratic Party attempt to galvanise support for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign. Nonetheless, some former Occupy protesters are now advocating that change should come from within the government itself. …

Well it’s fun watching them all fight each other over who’s responsible. But this whole thing  –  the “Occupy” movement, MoveOn.org, the radicals at Iowa CCI, and this latest militant “training” and organized protest of personal family homes of citizens  –  sounds like Barack Obama’s America, that’s for sure. This is Obama’s so-called “community organizing” in action.  This “community organizing” has been the totality of Obama’s life experience in his effort to, as he put it during his election campaign, “fundamentally transform America.” Into what, exactly, we are slowly discovering, to our dismay.

A Post-Racial Lynch Mob

Even after the Duke lacrosse case, Texaco executives allegedly using the N-word in private meetings — which turned out to be “St. Nicholas” — the Tawana Brawley case, not to mention virtual hailstorms of racist graffiti and nooses materializing on college campuses, all of which invariably end up having been put there by the alleged victims, the Non-Fox Media (NFM) didn’t even pause before conjuring a racist plot in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Florida last month.

Like Captain Ahab searching for the Great White Whale, the NFM is constantly on the hunt for proof of America as “Mississippi Burning.”

Over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, the month after Martin was killed, gangs in Chicago shot 10 people dead, including a 6-year-old girl, Aliyah Shell, who was sitting with her mother on their front porch.

One imagines MSNBC hosts heaving a sign of relief that little Aliyah was not shot by a white man, and was thus spared the horror of being a victim of racism.

As it happens, Trayvon Martin wasn’t shot by a white man either, but by George Zimmerman, a mixed-race Hispanic who lives in a diverse (47 percent white) gated community and tutors black kids.

But Hispanic is close enough for the NFM. They’re chasing the Great White Whale of racist America and don’t have time to check to see if the whale is actually a guppy.

Since the cat leapt out of the bag on Zimmerman being Hispanic, the media have begun calling him a “white Hispanic.”

Not being a race-obsessed liberal, I don’t particularly care, but it’s indisputable that Zimmerman is brown. I saw his face carved on the side of a Mayan temple in the Yucatan. Using his mother’s maiden name, he would be admitted to the University of Michigan law school on a full scholarship.

Apart from that, pretty much all that is known with certainty is that Zimmerman called the police to report a suspicious character in his neighborhood, and shortly thereafter he shot and killed Martin.

On the basis of little else, the media conjured a Hollywood script: A “white” man was “stalking” a little black kid — who could be Obama’s son! — confronted him, beat him senseless as the small black child screamed for help, and finally shot the kid dead, “just because he was black.”

Two weeks of nonstop hysteria later, it turns out that every part of that gripping plot is based on nothing that could be called a reasonable assumption, much less a fact.

The NFM’s theory of the case might be true, just as it might be true that the loud bang I just heard outside my door is Godzilla returning to terrorize Manhattan. I, like the NFM, have no facts supporting my theory. (Although mine is more credible because Al Sharpton is not involved and none of my facts are provably false, such as the NFM’s claim about Zimmerman being “white.”)

First of all, there’s no reason to believe Zimmerman followed Martin after the police told him not to, which is the linchpin of much excited reporting.

Zimmerman told the police, his friends and his lawyer that he walked back to his car after hanging up with the police and was waylaid by Martin. No witnesses have told the press otherwise.

We don’t know if -– as the NFM has baldly asserted — it was Martin yelling “Help!” during the struggle. Before the case became a nationwide sensation, the lead detective told the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel that the police had played all the 911 calls for Martin’s father, and he said the voice crying “Help!” was not his son’s.

(The father has subsequently retracted that.)

Before the shooting was even a twinkle in the eye of MSNBC, an eyewitness gave a detailed account to the local media, indicating that it was Martin who was on top of Zimmerman, pummeling him, as Zimmerman screamed “Help!”

The police report says Zimmerman’s nose was bleeding and his back covered in grass stains when they arrived at the scene. His lawyer and friends say he was treated for a broken nose the next day.

There’s no sense in arguing in public about such facts. The medical records exist or they do not.

Of course, the information contradicting the media’s fantasy comes to us only in the form of witness statements and police reports appearing in the press, not as evidence in a formal criminal investigation.

It’s hard to tell where the NFM’s suppositions are coming from inasmuch as they simply report their version as hard fact. But all their evidence seems to come only from Martin’s family and girlfriend. Can we start trying all criminal defendants based exclusively on the testimony of the victim’s friends and relatives?

Among the reasons to be suspicious of the media as impartial judges of the evidence is that they keep showing us snapshots from Martin’s childhood, rather than any recent photos.

Without doing research, the average person would think Martin was a slight 12-year-old whippersnapper at the time of the shooting, rather than a strapping 6-foot, 160-pound 17-year-old. Indeed, he was 3 inches taller than Zimmerman, according to the police report.

Why aren’t they showing us Zimmerman’s baby pictures? (And why didn’t we get to see baby pictures of the Duke lacrosse players? I bet they were adorable.)

CNN ceaselessly reported the allegation that Zimmerman could be heard in the background of one 911 call using an archaic racial epithet. Before playing the tape, correspondent Gary Tuchman first announced what the slur was supposed to be (“f*****g coon”).

There’s nothing like suggesting the answer in advance to improve reliability! Police should try that in lineups.

Then the same network that couldn’t find the Jeremiah Wright tapes for sale in a church lobby brought in “one of the best audio experts in the business” to enhance the tape — take the bass away here, add volume there — and played the 1.6-second loop again and again, just in case you were not suggestible enough the first time.

Still, all that can be heard on the enhanced tape is “cha-chu, cha-chu, cha-chu.”

But Tuchman wrapped up this demonstration by saying, “You know, it sounds like this allegation could be accurate, but I wouldn’t swear to it in court. That’s what it sounds like to me.”

To the small percentage of CNN’s audience with triple-digit IQs, it was comedy gold. The only thing missing was Tipper Gore playing the audio backward to reveal satanic lyrics.

(Incidentally, the Nexis transcript of the indecipherable “cha-chu” sound reads: “ZIMMERMAN: F*****g coons, f*****g coons. F*****g coons. F*****g coons. F*****g coons.” Except it doesn’t use asterisks.)

All this may give you an inkling of why we rely on the criminal justice system to determine guilt in criminal cases and not the fervid imaginations of the race-obsessed media.

….that’s enough. I’m sufficiently disgusted and bored and things have been more than sufficiently reinforced in my mind.

90% of “Occupy” tents are “Un-Occupied.” (But it’s still “grassroots,” right?)

In LEFT-WING THEATRICS today: A damn capitalist uses a capitalist tool  –  an infrared camera  –  to discover that 90% of the “occupy” tents are vacant at night.

This was in London, which is relatively warm at night. But not warm enough for these fakers. A nice warm bed in a nice heated home is where they’d really rather be. And where they really actually are. Apparently they think the “99%” are liars and propagandist shills for left-wing causes.

The London Telegraph reports:

…Infra red images taken by a police helicopter during the early hours show that only around 20 of the 200 tents on the encampment actually have people staying in them.

The Daily Telegraph has shot its own video of the St Paul’s camp using thermal imaging equipment which appears to confirm these claims. …

… A sign on one of the tents said: “All day, all week, we’ll sleep on London’s freezing streets. Solidarity.” …

Four Habits of an Occupy Wall Street Occupuss

Herewith are four common denominators of a Wall Street occupier.

Habit One: Hate America. Unlike the patriotic Tea Party movement where Old Glory flies proudly and participants sing patriotic songs with vigor and recite the Pledge of Allegiance with thunderous respect, the exact opposite goes on at the OWS Teat Parties.

They hate America. You won’t see them pledging allegiance to this country. If you don’t believe me, google Occupy Wall Street and check out the images and videos this cabal has spawned and tell me these winners love this land. I’m waiting …

Habit Two: Hate Jesus Christ & Moses. Even though some moronic Christians have been cheerleading at the OWS free candy rallies, they obviously don’t dig Jesus, Joseph or Mary.

How do I know? Well, they’re into stealing (“redistribution of wealth”); sloth (who has that much time to waste?); and envy (they want what others enjoy—and if they can’t have it, nobody should. The envier’s motto is: “if not I, then no one.”).

In addition, they’re cool with destroying private property and wrecking the local environment (I thought these greenies loved mother earth?). Another hand tip that these lovelies no likey God is the virulent anti-Semitic cursing of the “greedy Jews” for all the slackers’ financial woes. And a big chunk of them, by their own admission, are cool with violence if that’s what it takes to get “economic justice.” Yep, for one to be a good OWS rebel one must dispense with Jesus & Moses because they condemn the aforementioned behaviors.

Habit Three: Hate Responsibility. Another thing for certain about the Occupy Wall Street crowd is that they love to blame others and shirk responsibility for why their lives suck more than a Toro Gas Vac with its powerful 25.4cc 2-cycle commercial-grade engine (she’s a doozy, ain’t she?!).

Blameshifting, according to success expert Stephen Covey, is a key habit to being a hobbled and broke Occupy Occupuss. The other day I saw a trust fund baby Columbia grad at an OWS rally blathering about how Wall Street was “oppressing” him, and I’m sitting there thinking, “Yeah, sure. It’s Wall Street’s fault you can’t find gainful employment. It has nothing to do with your giant pot leaf forehead tattoo, your lug bolt tongue piercing, or the fact that only a sweaty skunk’s butt eclipses the stench your dreadlocks emit. It’s the man and the machine’s fault!”

Habit Four: Hate Independence. A further obvious common denominator of the Flea Party is that is appears as if these smelly cats are addicted to the mediocre and manipulative milk which slowly drips from the fed’s bankrupt, wilted tit. Yep, via the public school system these dependents have come to expect/demand that the government’s job is to give them a job—or just screw the job and give ‘em money.

I read this one whiner’s whimperings on a pro-OWS blog that stated that they just want the government to give them a fair chance at the American dream. A “fair chance,” little flower? Yes, you know … as in free college, free health care and free scented oil massage. Well hello, Lewis and frickin’ Clark!

Hey, sweetie, you already have a fair chance at the American dream. You are here. Now … if you would cease and desist your pathetic, weed-inspired diatribe and dig deep within your bong resin-crusted psyche for an idea for goods or services that meet the consumers’ wants or needs then you, too, will have a purty good shot at living the dream. That is, of course, until the federal government gets wind of your success and begins to regulate it more than Michelle does Barack when Shakira visits the White House.

Final warning: If you ever deviate from these habits, OWS protestor, and start appreciating this great nation, start following Jesus and Mo’s lead by taking responsibility for your own well-being and become a mean, lean, independent human being, it will cost you your broke OWS companions.

Occupy Wall Street (Hearts) Wall Street

The worst thing about Occupy Wall Street is that it’s ruining a good cause: hating Wall Street. Just when opposing Wall Street was gaining momentum, these brain-dead zombies are forcing us to choose between thieving bankers and them.

If the Flea Party were really concerned about the greedy “Wall Street 1 Percent,” shifting money around to make themselves richer and everyone else poorer, their No. 1 target should be George Soros.

Of course, we don’t know exactly how much money Soros has, since he keeps all his money in offshore bank accounts.

We do know that Soros has been convicted of insider trading. And we know that his general modus operandi is to run around the world panicking sovereign nations, so he can pocket the difference when their currencies collapse.

But the Occupy Wall Street protesters love Soros! It’s Fox News they hate.

Last week, the great minds of the OWS movement, bored with playing bocce ball and getting stoned, decided to protest at the homes of Wall Street’s robber barons.OWS bongo team no.849 They then proceeded to walk right past George Soros’ apartment building in order to protest at the homes of Rupert Murdoch and David Koch.

THEY’RE NOT WALL STREET!

You may not like Koch and Murdoch’s products — fertilizer and media — but neither one has anything to do with Wall Street. Unlike money manipulators such as John Corzine (Democrat), Robert Rubin (Democrat) and George Soros (Democrat and Obama’s biggest supporter), Koch and Murdoch make money from corporations that actually produce something.

They take risks, make things and get menaced by the government. Wall Street schemers take no risks, produce nothing and get bailed out by the government.

Even assuming, for purposes of argument, that Koch and Murdoch are as evil as these morons seems to think, the protesters call their demonstration “Occupy Wall Street,” not “Occupy Businesses Whose Products We Disapprove Of.”

This would be like protesting the Holocaust by walking past Adolf Hitler’s house and protesting at O.J. Simpson’s house.

The Flea Partiers try to win good will by pretending to protest “Wall Street” — but they ignore Wall Street’s villains. They claim to speak for 99 percent of Americans, but their sponsor, George Soros, would be delighted if America collapsed and the 99 percent were impoverished. All he cares about is his own power and pocketbook.

Recall that when the markets first opened after 9/11 and little grandmothers in Iowa were patriotically calling their local savings banks to find out how to buy a share of stock so that the American stock market wouldn’t crash because of the terrorist attack, Soros said: Sell, sell, sell!

Now he’s helping the cretinous Occupy Wall Street protesters.

Liberals love mob movements because you can’t get mobs to think, which is perfect for Democratic ideas.

Do the Wall Street protesters even know that Obama got more money from Wall Street than any other candidate, ever?

These pea-brained protesters either admire or have never heard of the most egregious of the Wall Street looters and their co-conspirators: Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Franklin Raines, Jamie Gorelick, Jim Johnson, Rahm Emanuel, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank. Democrats all!

They have no idea that George Soros has a hand-in-glove relationship with the Democrats, having bought a whole slew of them, including Obama, Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, Charles Schumer, Joe Biden, John Kerry, Patrick Leahy, John Corzine, Barbara Boxer, Mary Landrieu, as well as the Democratic National Committee.

Hamptons-vacationing, helicopter-flying, Russell Simmons party-attending New York bankers always give about 80 percent of their political contributions to Democrats.
And the Democrats always return the favor.

In the 1990s, President Bill Clinton repeatedly bailed out his friends at Goldman Sachs and Citibank under the tutelage of his Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin — former chairman of Goldman Sachs. U.S. taxpayers were fleeced to prop up nations that were about to default on risky bonds purchased by Goldman and Citibank, such as Mexico (in 1995), Thailand, Indonesia and South Korea (in 1997), and Russia (in 1998).

Of course, if the bonds turned a profit, only Goldman and Citibank would benefit.

This is the Democrats’ idea of “capitalism”: Rich, Democratic-donating bankers get to engage in wild risk-taking; if the bets pay off, they keep all the winnings, but if the bets lose, they still keep the winnings, and the taxpayers get stuck with the bill.

Democrats are firm believers in the welfare state for their own constituents, whether that’s a crack addict mother of five or a Wall Street banker.

Are the protesters aware that the Democrats’ 2010 “financial reform” bill provides for future bailouts of reckless banks? Goldman Sachs and Citibank strongly supported the bill.

The protesters don’t care — they have no interest in actual malfeasance by actual Wall Street bankers. They’re too busy denouncing Fox News. (Which did not, incidentally, receive a taxpayer-funded bailout.)

And these are the intellectuals of the Occupy Wall Street movement! Never mind the ones who just think stuff should be free and America is the moral equivalent of al-Qaida. They either know that they are benefiting Wall Street looters or are utterly brainless.

Given a choice between Wall Street looters and protesters defecating in the street, throwing rocks at police and chanting “F—k the USA,” most people will choose Wall Street.

As always, the mob is serving liberalism.

North Korea finally joins Communists, Nazis, Chavez, Iran, Obama and Pelosi in endorsing OCCUPY mob

I wrote two days ago (see “Communist Party, Nazi Party, Democrats officially support ‘Occupy’ mobs”) that joining the Communist Party, the Nazis, Hugo Chavez, the Iranian dictators, President Obama, and Democrat minority house leader Nancy Pelosi and nearly all other Democrats, North Korea’s Kim Jung Il might soon be throwing in with the “Occupy Wall Street” mobs.  He’s one of the few left-wing anti-capitalists who hadn’t!  And he’s a partier if ever there was one (by which I mean socialist party of course).

Well now it seems North Korea’s crack state-owned media and their wonderful technology have finally gotten the news about the yummy anti-capitalist mobs in North America. Ironically it’s probably thanks to American technology gained through capitalism and freedom from government controls and meddling, that they cottoned onto the news.  But I niggle.

Their state-run media is running this headline today: “North Korea: Capitalism is fading from history”

You should visit the Communist’s state-owned and state-run media web site.  In fact really, “Occupy” fans all should.  It’s instructive.  The front page features picture after picture of “Dear Leader” Kim Jung Il, visiting various state-owned, state-run means of production.

Nearly every photo begins with this caption: “Kim Jong Il Provides Field Guidance to …”

  • Kim Jong Il Provides Field Guidance to Solar Equipment Center (Hey Mr. Obama! Same-same!)
  • Kim Jong Il Gives Field Guidance to Major Industrial Establishments in Hamhung City
  • Kim Jong Il Gives Field Guidance to Taehung Youth Hero Mine and Ryongyang Mine
  • Kim Jong Il Provides Field Guidance to Taedonggang Terrapin Farm
  • Kim Jong Il Provides Field Guidance to Technologically Updated Tudan Duck Farm
  • Kim Jong Il Gives Field Guidance to Central Tree Nursery
  • Kim Jong Il Gives Field Guidance to Phyongsong Synthetic Leather Factory

Like much of the liberal mainstream media in America, many of the stories and links are about their grand national leader and all his benevolent greatness, and the obstacles he faces and problems, which were all inherited from… George Bush and other nefarious capitalist freedom-lovers.

Looks like they’re having some real good times over there.  I mean aside from the unmentioned and weirdly unreported deaths of countless millions of North Korean citizens from starvation and illness as a direct result of their massive government control and planning and their lack of capitalism and lack of freedom writ large.

Get a job!

Do Wall Street occupiers not have bosses, families, responsibilities?

I have always felt very sorry for the municipal politician in Caledonia, Ont., who five years ago dared to comment on the illegal Native occupation in the area by suggesting out loud that most of the actual residents had jobs, while many of those occupying the residents’ property didn’t seem to have them.

Golly, the woman was apparently worse than Hitler! Apologize now, resign, have sensitivity training, they yelled.

But why? She was right.

And the same applies to pretty much every long-term protest we see.

Do these people not have bills, mortgages and rent to pay?

Do they not have employers who might wonder where they are?

Do they not have families to take care of, or responsibilities? Or, perhaps, taxes to pay — taxes that maintain hospitals, provide welfare, fund public education?

What we are seeing on Wall Street and in other American cities, and what we are about to see in Canada, is the usual scenario of the ugly alliance of students, dropouts — a euphemism for parasites — professional protesters and union types who are paid to stand around looking as if they need a job standing around.

There is nothing crass or vulgar about telling someone to get a job.

If they are incapable of working, a civilized culture will take care of them.

But if you look at the mob on Wall Street, you will see a disproportionately middle-class, white, able-bodied section of society.

It’s the ethnic and the less educated who seem to be the ones rushing off to work, often low-paid work, and couldn’t find the time to protest even if they wanted to.

A lot of people have got the Wall Street nonsense wrong. It’s not about politics, but about sociology. It’s not connected to the civil rights marches of the 1960s or even the anti-war gatherings during the Vietnam War.

Rather, it’s the Jack Layton melodrama, the Princess Diana mass neurosis, the Vancouver riots, an episode of Oprah. It’s a happening, something to be part of, something to give meaning and communal significance to otherwise empty and dusty lives.

We used to ask what people had done in the war, when Nazi psychopaths or Japanese fascists threatened to take over the world. Now we sit in overpriced coffee shops and share anecdotes about what the police did to us during the G20. “Hey man, it was like, yeah, like a movie.”

There are myriad stories of people making a little trip to the Wall Street party in the hope of finding a cause. Shopping with politics. I can’t imagine a Syrian demonstrator running between Assad’s bullets, asking himself if it’s environmental decay or animal liberation that pushes his buttons.

Worst of all are the portentous labour and leftist party leaders, who know it’s all garbage but think they can cash in on the whole thing, and so they tell us this is important.

If I hear one more person begin a defence of the occupation with, “What you have to understand,” I’ll turn it into a drinking song.

Actually, what you have to understand is that this is a bourgeois conceit, a mere souffle, and will disappear with a simple breath of clean wind.

Unions joining anti-bailout mobs? Now we KNOW it’s just more extreme left-wing politics.

We’ve all made fun of the abject hypocrisy of some of the complete idiots in the occupied territories of New York and other cities in America, inasmuch as they are among society’s chief beneficiaries of the taxpayers and their progressive cowardly governments’ myriad social welfare programs. But we’ve simply held our noses (literally) and laughed many of them off, as so many of them could easily (and by numerous YouTube examples) be explained away as being naive, simpletons, and abject ignoramuses.  We’ve seen example after example of many of them who, if they didn’t drop out of sixth grade, were taught (mostly “art” and “social justice” classes), extremely badly, in our failed taxpayer-funded public schools and colleges, by so many militant, unionized, left-wing ideologues. All funded by taxpayers.

But for huge labor unions  –  the direct beneficiaries of most of all of that ongoing government “stimulus” (ha, FAIL) and ongoing taxpayer bailout cash  –  to join those mobs?  Well now that’s just preposterous.  Now they’re mocking us.  They’re thumbing their noses at us all.  It’s actually insulting.

I can easily take all those ludicrous, horrid insults from liberals, progressives, and socialists in the media and as robotically regurgitated by useful idiots in the general public as they hurl them at our tea party and tea party rallies, because their insults and reports have been and are so demonstrably false.  I think they actually hurt their own cause and help ours, with each passing demonstration of their intolerance and unintelligent non-debate.  But this is seriously hideous.

There is at least a level of consistency here:  much like the progressive governments they elect, they think you’re all complete idiots.

Let’s talk about “greed.”  Well let’s not even, because that just makes them look even sillier, if that’s even possible.

This is betraying itself as nothing but an organized political distraction designed to redirect our attention away from what has now been proven, once yet again, to be the another example of a complete failure of successive progressive governments, and the Keynesian, progressive government policies they have demanded be enacted over the years.  And not just since Obama, but mostly, since I think he was the impetus for this mob-fest.  Regular voters were lured by him and his leftist mobs to buy into his bogus rhetoric.  They invested so much in him, and relied on him to prove their grand, Utopian socialist theories would work.  Again: FAIL.  Their frustration is being directed at straw men and fallacies now. They can’t look themselves in the mirror.

Indeed, the excuse-maker in chief, President Barack Obama, has endorsed this mob-fest.  As have his cohorts Nancy Pelosi, and Michael Moore, and so many other students of the left-wing radicalism as taught by radical militants like Van Jones and Cloward–Piven. And Marx.

Today I read where the militant and extremely left-wing political union, the Canadian Auto Workers Union, is throwing its weight behind the planned Canadian mob protests staring today and this weekend in various cities in Canada.

The CAW and its Marxist-sounding boss Ken Lewenza have previously blamed “the right wingers” for all of Canada and the world’s economic woes, leading my wife and I to buy a car that we were sure was not made by the CAW, last time we bought a new car. (We studied the matter for a few minutes, and bought a Ford Escape  –  Ford because they didn’t get a government bailout  –  and an Escape because it wasn’t built in Canada by the militant left-wing political labor union, the CAW, but rather by the UAW in Kansas City.)

But alas the UAW has also endorsed the left-wing mob.  Japanese cars made by non-union labor (Toyota, for example) are sure to make our next car-buying short list.  Hopefully built in a right-to-work state.

One of the all too many inconvenient truths is that unions are, themselves, among the biggest and most powerful businesses in North America, to say nothing of them being among the most powerful special interest groups, and richest, biggest lobbyists in Washington. And the most frequent guests at the Obama White House. And the biggest funders of Obama and the Democrats.  And unions and their members are the direct beneficiaries of a huge percentage of all the government bailouts.

This is known as crony capitalism run amok, though it barely adheres to any notion of capitalism at all. It’s really known as liberal fascism, and insanity.

More?  And those huge unions totally depend for their livelihoods on “rich” investors, and banks, and all the big huge financial institutions which are the rent-paying tenants and owners of many of those building on the Wall Street the “occupiers” have taken over and literally crapped on.  That all goes right over the heads of some of these naive hypocrites. Or at least they pretend it does, in many cases (a point which becomes embarrassingly obvious when you confront them directly with these facts.  You’ve never seen anybody change the subject, hurl invective at you, and then tootle off, faster in your life).

People  –  including unions members  –  should be protesting against the massive labor unions who benefited from the massive government bailouts.  They’re a huge part of the problem.  Progressive governments are at least half the problem.  That “1%”  –  the rich people the mobs so resent, represent almost exactly 1% of the problem.  And I’d bet a thousand dollars they mostly fund and vote Democrat  –  which circles around again to them being the problem.

The left-wing mobs’ object of derision should really be themselves  — unions and the progressive governments they elected and funded, and all the lazy bums and the people who made stupid and irrational decisions in their lives, like taking “art” and “sociology” in taxpayer-funded colleges.  They should really have an “Occupy Mirrors” protest, and hold mirrors in front of their faces, right in front of the Obama White House, and at all government and union offices.
